Body found in Rocky Mountain National Park confirmed to be missing Omaha man

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Authorities in Colorado have confirmed that the body found in Rocky Mountain National Park was that of a missing Omaha man.

In a Facebook Post on Tuesday, the Larimer County Coroner’s Office said 23-year-old Blake Kieckhafer died from multiple blunt force injuries caused by an accidental fall.

Kieckhafer’s family reported him missing to two park rangers, who determined he had last been seen by his rideshare driver on Aug. 7.

His body was found by search and rescue crews on Aug. 13.

“Based on the circumstances of the scene and death investigation, it is believed the decedent died on August 9, 2025, from an accidental fall,” the coroner’s office said on Facebook.
