Police identify man killed in north Lincoln motorcycle crash
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Police have identified the man who was killed Saturday night in a motorcycle crash in north Lincoln.
Around 8 p.m., 61-year-old Jeffry Baker was heading north on 48th Street near Leighton Avenue when an SUV pulled out of a business.
The SUV struck Baker’s motorcycle, according to police.
Baker was taken to a hospital, where he later died. He was not wearing a helmet, police said.
The driver of the SUV was “voluntarily evaluated” by a Lincoln Police Department drug recognition expert, despite not showing any signs of impairment at the scene, police said.

Less than 24 hours after this crash, another motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a vehicle near North 90th and Adams streets.
The crash report identifies him as 21-year-old Jackson Gartee.
