Man fired gun from bedroom window, injured woman in Norfolk, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was arrested early Friday morning after a shooting in Norfolk, police say.
Around 1:50 a.m., officers with the Norfolk Police Department responded to a report of a disturbance and possible gunfire at a home.
Officers spoke with 22-year-old Adrian Gallegos, who said that he was awakened by a security camera alert on his phone, according to police.
He noticed people standing in the street near his parked pickup truck.
Police said Gallegos opened a bedroom window, shouted at the people to leave and fired a single round from a gun.
At about 2:20 a.m., a woman arrived at a local emergency wound with a gunshot wound to her arm, according to police.
She and two other people were in the street taking photographs when they saw a green laser beam, police said.
When the group ran away, the woman was shot in the arm.
During an investigation, officers recovered the firearm and took Gallegos into custody.
He was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault and use of a weapon to commit a felony.
