Waverly survives Seward, starts season 2-0

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Waverly and Seward football went down to the wire once again Friday, with the Vikings securing the close 28-20 win at home.

The two teams traded blows early on before Connor Schere gave the Vikings a 14-7 lead with a kickoff return touchdown.

Waverly held that 7-point lead into the break.

The Vikings kept it at a one-score game to secure their second win of the season.

Seward falls to 0-2 on the year.
