LPD: Driver cited after crashing into south Lincoln auto detail shop

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The driver who crashed into a south Lincoln auto detail shop on Thursday was issued a citation, police say.
The crash happened at Nebraska Auto Detail near Eighth Street and Pioneers Boulevard around 12:30 p.m.
According to a crash report from LPD, the driver’s accelerator got stuck, causing him to lose control of the vehicle and crash into the building.
The driver, a 79-year-old man, was taken to a hospital with minor injuries, according to police.
He was cited on suspicion of negligent driving.
