Police investigating report of gunshots in northwest Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Shots were fired in northwest Lincoln early Saturday morning, according to the Lincoln Police Department.

Around 2 a.m., officers were sent to the area of Northwest Second Street and West Dawes Avenue.

When officers arrived, they found numerous shell casings but no victims or property damage.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call Lincoln Police at 402-441-600 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-360.
