One killed, two injured in east Lincoln crash
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — One person was killed and two were injured following a two-vehicle crash in east Lincoln on Wednesday.
Just before 12:40 p.m., several first responders were sent to the intersection of 70th and L streets.
According to the Lincoln Police Department, a vehicle driving north on 70th Street was turning left onto L Street when it collided with a car driving south on 70th.
The driver of the vehicle turning left onto L Street died at a local hospital, and the passenger was seriously injured, according to LPD.
LPD said the driver of the southbound vehicle has minor injuries.

“Please find an alternate route to your destination for the time being,” LPD said in a press release. “Drivers are reminded to follow officer instructions and obey all traffic cones to avoid driving through the crash scene.”
The intersection will remain closed in all directions while LPD investigates the crash.
LPD said the driver’s identity will be released pending notification of next of kin.
