One hospitalized in southeast Lincoln house fire
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A person was taken to a hospital Thursday morning after a house fire in southeast Lincoln.
Lincoln Fire & Rescue crews responded to the fire at a home near 80th Street and Old Cheney Road at around 9:45 a.m.
LFR Capt. Andy Evans said crews found a fire in the furnace room and got it under control in about 15 minutes.
One person was hospitalized, according to Evans. Two dogs and a cat were also evacuated from the home.
The cause of the fire and the total amount of damage are unknown at this time.
