Police investigating stabbing in west Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Lincoln Police Department is investigating a stabbing in west Lincoln on Monday.

Just before 4:45 p.m., officers were sent to the area of North First and O Streets on the report of an assault in progress.

When officers arrived, they found a 33-year-old man with multiple stab wounds.

He was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to LPD.

LPD said no arrests have been made at this time, and witnesses and all involved parties are still being interviewed.

According to a witness, a man was hitting another man with a metal pole.

The investigation is ongoing.
