A lot of wind headed our way
High Wind Watches and Warnings are in place for much of the western two thirds of Nebraska where wind gusts in excess of 55 mph will be possible.
A Wind Advisory is in place for northeast Nebraska for wind gusts up to 50 mph will be possible.
While SE Nebraska does not have wind headlines, wind gusts around 40-45 mph will still be possible.
The wind gusts will be at their highest from noon to 3pm Tuesday. 60 mph wind gusts in northern Nebraska are possible.
For Lincoln, the wind gusts will increase as the day progresses, then tapering off after sunset.
High temperatures on Tuesday will be above average, but that won’t really matter with all the wind blowing around!
We’ll see 50 degrees on Tuesday, 42 on Wednesday, then 41 on Thursday. Lots of sunshine expected each day.
More clouds and a chance for some snow mixing with rain further south will be possible. More chances for snow are out there as we head through the weekend, as well.
Mixed precipitation and snow will be possible Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Small chances are out there next week
