A winter feel to Thanksgiving weekend
High Wind Warnings and Wind Advisories are in place for most of eastern Nebraska through midnight tonight. Wind in excess of 55 mph is possible in the warning area. Wind up to 55 mph will be possible in the advisory area.
As we head into early Wednesday morning, temperatures will drop into the teens and 20s.
The wind will start to die down early Wednesday and will continue to weaken as the day progresses.
It will be a cooler day for Wednesday afternoon. Highs are expected to be in the 30s and 40s.
The cooling trend continues all the way into the holiday weekend, too. Highs will be in the 40s on Thanksgiving and the 30s Friday and Saturday. There’s a rain and snow chance then, too.
Below is what our StormCast weather model is showing for timing, location, and duration of the rain and snow potential.
It continues to cool down all the way into next week with highs in the 20s by Sunday and Monday. The precipitation chance drops off next week, as well.
