Snow is done, now it gets cold
Lincoln tied the snowfall record with 1.9″ of snow today. That ties the old record of 1.9″ set in 1986!
Single digit lows are looking likely for much of SE Nebraska early Tuesday morning. The average low is 22!
A clearing sky and a fresh pack of snow on the ground will get much of the eastern half of Nebraska colder than the western half where less snow and more clouds are likely.
We’ll try to warm up a little on Tuesday, but we’ll still be a good 10 degrees below the average high.
It’ll be chilly again on Wednesday with highs in the low to mid 30s. Then, the bottom falls out.
Late Wednesday into early Thursday morning, low temperatures will drop below zero. The record low for Thursday in Lincoln is -3!
