A WARM Tuesday- Strong Winds Wednesday
Tuesday afternoon, strong westerly winds will gust to around 50+ mph out west. Most of us can expect gusts near 30-35 mph.
Wednesday morning, the cold front moves in bringing STRONG northwest wind gusts up to 60+ mph. Expect winds to continue through the afternoon across much of eastern Nebraska, before relaxing by the evening time.
This afternoon, high temperatures feeling well above average for much of the state! Some spots in SW Nebraska could get close to 70 degrees. A warm and windy December day ahead.
Wednesday, temperatures will take a dip back into the 30s and 40s. Wind chill values near the lower 20s due to the gusty northwest winds.

Tuesday, the warmth finally sinks in across the state with temperatures in the 50s and 60s. The strongest winds will occur out west Tuesday afternoon. A cold front will move through Wednesday morning bringing strong NW wind gusts up to 55+ mph and chances for light rain/snow across NE Nebraska by the late evening hours. After Thursday, temperatures will stay between 24-45 degrees with low precipitation chances. Our next big system could come near DEC 22-26.
