Winter weather alerts are in place for northeast Nebraska, set to go into effect Friday evening. A Winter Weather Advisory will be in place for far northeast Nebraska, travel impacts are expected in any of the purple counties above.

Snow showers likely in northern Nebraska on Friday, with heavier showers reaching northeast Nebraska Friday evening and Saturday morning. Above is the latest run of StormCast, which shows a chance for Lincoln to see snow early Saturday afternoon.

Light snow showers on Saturday looks to be our best chance at precipitation for the week ahead. Warmer weather is on the way next week, with highs in the upper 40s and lower-to-middle 50s.
