High Wind Warnings are in effect for much of Nebraska through Thursday evening, with gusts that could exceed 65+ mph. Expect the STRONGEST winds late Wednesday into early Thursday. Secure loose items and hold on to any small pets. Winds will calm down Thursday evening like nothing ever happened!

Today. south winds will gust to near 30-40 mph across the state before picking up even more overnight.

This afternoon, high temperatures feeling a bit cooler. Much of the state seeing 50s and 60s. WINDY south winds will pick up near noon and slowly relaxing by the evening.  Light rain and a few rumbles of thunder are possible Wednesday night and early Thursday morning.
