Widespread Fog Through Christmas Day
A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect through early Wednesday afternoon. Visibilities may drop to near zero at times. Fog will gradually diminish from west to east this afternoon, but more widespread fog is expected on Christmas Day. Use caution if traveling east and allow extra time these next few morning.
This afternoon, high temperatures reaching the 50s, 60s and 70s with light winds and gradual clearing. No fog and lots of sunshine will make for warmer conditions further west.
Christmas morning, much of the eastern half of the state will be seeing visibilities less than a half mile to near zero. The fog will hang around through Thursday afternoon and evening.
Christmas afternoon temperatures will range from 41° to near 72°! Pretty wild how fog and low clouds can make such a huge difference in temperatures across the region.
Dense fog will occur through Thursday night across the east. The thickest fog will be Christmas morning. Take the holiday travels a bit slower! Temperatures will stay mild, ranging from 52–65°, with partly/mostly sunny skies. FRIDAY could be a top 10 day! Temperatures in the 60s and 70s with sunny skies and light winds! A cold front moves through Saturday night, bringing colder air through next Monday. Precipitation chances through next week look to be slim. The next best chance for precipitation will be near January 2-4, 2026! Happy Holidays and safe travels.
