Cold into Monday, slow warm up
It is going to be a COLD start to the week with temperatures in the single digits for most of Nebraska early Monday.
The wind chill early Monday will have a bite to it, as well.
We’ll warm up into the middle 20s by the afternoon, but that’s about 10 degrees below average for late December.
Highs for Nebraska will be in the 20s for the eastern half of the state and the 30s and 40s for the western half.
The wind chill, however, will be in the teens and 20s for most of the state. 30s further west.
If you’re headed out for New Year’s, it will be chilly! At midnight, we’ll be in the middle 20s. Which, if you bundle up, isn’t too bad!
After a cold Monday, we warm back up for a couple days, then cool off a couple of days, and then back and forth. Overall, a pretty normal end to December and start to January for temperatures.
