While the worst of the wind chills made their way through eastern Nebraska early Friday morning, we are not out of the woods yet. Wind Chills between -15 and -25 degrees will be possible across the state through the weekend. A Cold Weather Advisory is in place until noon on Saturday for northwest and portions of central Nebraska, and until noon on Monday for south-central Nebraska.

Forecast wind chills look to stay below zero through most of the day on Saturday, finally returning to the single digits late Saturday afternoon and into Saturday evening.

Multiple Winter Weather Advisories are in place across the state as snow potential ramps up heading into the weekend.

Our latest runs of StormCast show snow chances increasing for far south-central Nebraska late Friday and into early Saturday. Snow showers then move east into southeast Nebraska during the early morning hours on Saturday.

Df Snow Forecast Manual Snow Map

Forecast snow totals have decreased after the morning and afternoon rounds of data came out. Cold, dry air sent our way from a high-pressure system to our north and east will clash with the forcing for snow showers near the Kansas-Nebraska border. Thus, snow totals will quickly drop off north of Interstate 80. Further updates will be made as needed.

Forecast:

Df Forecast Lows Statewide

Low temperatures across the state this evening will drop below zero under mostly cloudy skies.

Df State Tomorrow High

Df 10 Day Forecast

Temperatures slowly improve for the start of the work week, returning to the lower 30s by Tuesday with plenty of sunshine. Overnight lows will reach the single digits until the start of the work week as well. Bundle up out there!
