PHOTOS: Sinkhole swallows two vehicles in central Omaha
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Two cars are in a sinkhole near Aksarben on Tuesday after Omaha Police said the road collapsed.
According to the Omaha Police Department, Pacific Street between 66th and 69th streets is closed due to the sinkhole.
The drivers of the two cars were not injured and were out of their vehicles by the time police arrived, according to OPD Lt. Dan Martin.
According to Martin, the hole spans both westbound lanes, but the void expands underground.
Vehicles can still travel north and south on 67th Street, but drivers are asked to avoid the area.
