Authorities evacuating residents in SW Lancaster County due to wildfires, sheriff’s office says

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Firefighters and deputies are responding to multiple wildfires in the southwest portions of Lancaster County.

According to the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office, the evacuation notice has been lifted for the area of SW 112th Street and Pioneers Boulevard.

The sheriff’s office said evacuations in the area of SW 100th Street and Wittstruck have not yet been lifted, but the fire is contained, and crews are still working.

Both wildfires at NW 140th and Adams streets and SW 140th and Rokeby Road are contained, according to the sheriff’s office.

“Please avoid the area and follow instructions from firefighters and law enforcement if you are asked to evacuate,” the sheriff’s office said on Facebook.
