And we would love to see video of any winter storm and high wind footage you may get (safely!). You can upload that using our Now Local News App HERE.
There isn’t going to be a lot of snow with this storm, up to an inch is possible for a good portion of the area with the Winter Weather Advisory. Up to 2″ of snow is possible further north and east in northeast and far eastern Nebraska.
The high wind is going to be the main issue. With just a little bit of snow, these wind gusts will be blowing in the 40-50 mph range and sometimes reaching the 60-70 mph range, which will create whiteout conditions very quickly. Travel will be difficult to impossible in these area.
HIGH WIND WARNINGS are in place for the potential for wind gusts in excess of 60 mph.
Temperatures are going to come crashing down today, too. By tonight, we’ll be in the teens just before midnight.
