Showers & Storm Threat Thursday Evening
The severe weather threat this evening will be driven by large hail up to golf ball ball size & an isolated tornado threat. Areas included within this threat include Hebron, Red Cloud, Beatrice & Fairbury. 6-11pm will be the best chance for severe weather.
The main severe threat will occur near 6:30-8PMpm near Hebron, Fairbury & Beatrice. These single cells will carry the large hail and brief tornado threat.
STORM TIMELINE: Light rain/ isolated T-storms Thursday morning.
–(6pm-11pm) Isolated strong to severe storms will develop across SE Nebraska near 6-7pm. LARGE HAIL & DAMAGING WINDS being the main threats. A small tornado threat near Hebron & areas east.
A few showers through this morning with temperatures warming up into the 50s & 60s. Winds will be a lot lighter than Wednesday!
High temperatures will be sharp! 50s north of I-80 & 60s and 70s where the storms will develop.
Thursday afternoon & evening, strong to severe storms will develop across SE Nebraska. LARGE HAIL & DAMAGING WINDS being the main threats. Saturday, showers & T-storms likely across eastern Nebraska. Sunday, rain will linger through the morning before diminishing Sunday afternoon. A strong system Monday evening brings more chances for storms into Tuesday.
