Hot & Windy Monday, Storms Return Tuesday
A HOT, windy & mostly sunny Monday across Nebraska! Highs will reach the 70s, 80s & low 90s with a windy SW breeze 15-20+ mph. Critical fire weather will occur across much of the state. Norfolk could see a strong to severe T-storm near 4-6pm this evening. Large hail will be the main threat.

High temperatures this afternoon reaching the 70s, 80s & low 90s! The hot spots will be across eastern Nebraska. A surface front keeps temperatures cooler out west. RECORD: 89° (2024)

Elevated fire danger is expected throughout the day across much of the state. Dry air, warm temperatures, and strong SW winds will contribute to the increased risk.

This evening near 4-6pm, a strong to severe T-storm could develop near O’Neil & Norfolk carrying a large hail threat.

Tuesday Storm Timeline: 5pm-7pm: Isolated strong to severe storms try & develop across SW Nebraska near 5-7pm. LARGE HAIL being the main threats.
-8-11pm: The strongest storms will form near 7pm-11pm in SE Nebraska carrying a LARGE HAIL, DAMAGING WIND & brief TORNADO threat. Stay tuned for the latest updates!
