Huskers complete historic comeback vs the Trojans

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska baseball uses late surge to take down No. 12 ranked USC Trojans Friday night.
Entering the 8th inning, the Huskers found themselves trailing 7-2. Josh Overbeek hit a 3 run home run, cutting the deficit to two.
Then, in the bottom of the ninth they were able to string together two more runs to send the game to extra’s.
The Huskers had one final trick up their sleeve with a Mac Moyer bunt, that led USC’s Pitcher to commit an error. Rhett Stokes advanced home all the way from first base, giving Nebraska the miraculous victory 8-7.
Jett Buck went 3-for-4 with two RBI and two doubles, and Moyer finished 3-for-5 with the walk-off.
Nebraska improves to 29-9, and will look to take a 2-0 series lead vs Southern California Saturday.
