Fire burns more than 1,000 acres at central Nebraska park
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A grass fire was reported on Wednesday afternoon at a park in central Nebraska.
The Pressey Fire, which is located at Pressey Park just north of Oconto on Highway 21, has burned more than 1,000 acres, according to Watch Duty.
According to KRVN News, locals are evacuating their homes on West Pressey Road, and authorities are asking people to avoid the area because many vehicles parked near the park are blocking those fighting the fire or trying to evacuate.
