LPD: Lincoln man arrested after inappropriately touching 12-year-old boy multiple times

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A Lincoln man was arrested on Monday following a child sexual assault investigation by the Lincoln Police Department.
On April 22, LPD said a mandatory reporter called the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services hotline to report the belated sexual assault of a 12-year-old boy.
Over the last three weeks, LPD Special Victims Unit investigators worked to determine that 56-year-old Hung Van Vu had inappropriately touched the child multiple times between January 2021 and May 2023.
On Monday, Vu was arrested and taken to the Lancaster County Jail on suspicion of third-degree sexual assault.
