Man killed following single-vehicle crash in south Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A man was killed in a single-vehicle crash in south Lincoln on Friday morning.
Just after 7 a.m., several first responders were sent to the area of Speedway Circle and Park Boulevard, just off of Van Dorn Street.
According to the Lincoln Police Department, the vehicle hit a cement barrier and flipped over. Lincoln Fire & Rescue said there was also damage to a power line.
Authorities said CPR was initially started on the driver, a 56-year-old Lincoln man, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
In a video sent to our NOW Local News App by a Channel 8 reporter, you can see that the car ended up on the bank of the Salt Creek.
The identity of the driver has yet to be released, and the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
