Authorities investigating bomb threat at southeast Lincoln church

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Federal, state and local authorities are investigating a bomb threat at a southeast Lincoln church on Friday.

Just before 9:15 a.m., the Lincoln Police Department was made aware of a possible bomb threat at College View Church, near 48th Street and Pioneers Boulevard.

Officers responded to the scene and worked with federal, state and local partners to determine if the threat was legitimate.

According to LPD, traffic was blocked in the area for a short period of time during the investigation.

LPD said there is no public safety concern at this time.
