Weekend storm chances
Showers and storms are possible this weekend, but the will be most likely during the overnight hours. Temperatures will be on the warm side of things, as well.
After some early storms Saturday, the 2nd half of the day looks dry until Saturday night. We’ll do this again on Sunday. Afternoon temps will be in the 80s.
Above is what our StormCast weather model is saying for timing, duration, and location of the storms.
The best chance for severe weather will be in parts of western Nebraska where there’s a level 2 “Slight Risk” for severe storms. You can see the timing and location from our StormCast video above. Overall, it’ll be Saturday afternoon into the evening.
Beneficial rainfall is possible across much of the state through the weekend.
Highs on Saturday will be in the lower 80s across much of the state. It’ll be a few degrees warmer on Sunday.
There is another level 1 “Marginal Risk” for severe storms Sunday. This would be for storms early Sunday, then again late Sunday night.
