OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (KLKN) — Nebraska softball’s historic season has to come an end.

The Huskers fell to Texas on Sunday, 3-1, in an elimination game at the Women’s College World Series.

Nebraska led the entire game until the 6th inning when Texas hit a three-run home run to take the lead for good.

Jordy Frahm took a no-hitter into the inning. She also became the first player ever to achieve 20 or more wins and 20 or more home runs in a single season after her 1st-inning home run on Sunday.

She gave up just three hits to the Longhorns in the game.

The Huskers finished the season with a record of 52-8 (.867). The 52 wins tie a program record for the most wins in a single season. NU made its eighth WCWS appearance in program history and won its 21st and 22nd conference titles.

Nebraska will return home on Monday.
