Heating up, storm chances for the weekend
Windy and warm heading into the next couple of days. If you’re looking for some rain, that comes our way by the weekend.
There is a Wind Advisory for parts of northeast and southeast Nebraska. Wind gusts will be pushing 40-50 mph in these areas Wednesday.
A Red Flag Warning continues for western Nebraska. It’s dry, it’ll be warm and windy, so any fire that gets started may get out of control quickly.

It’s going to get warm, too. Highs will be in the 90s in SE Nebraska. Meanwhile, much cooler air moves into the northwestern part of the state.
It’s going to be dry through the rest of the week, but Saturday into Sunday, we may have some severe weather to deal with.

It may be Father’s Day weekend, some of those outdoor plans may have to wait. However, some much need moisture is possible over the weekend.
