HOT & Windy Monday With Storm Chances
Peak afternoon temperatures reaching the 90s & triple digits farther south & east with cooler air out west due to an approaching cold front.
Sunny skies all day with temperatures in the 90s at lunchtime with a windy south breeze 20-25mph.
6-8pm: Isolated storms will try & form east of O’Neil down to Ord, carrying a WIND, HAIL & possibly a brief tornado threat. *Storm motion will be ENE*
9-11pm: Watching areas near the tri-cities, as the LLJ will pick up & spark a few storms, carrying a hail and wind threat.
11pm-1am: Storms will stay north & NE of I-80 as they move ENE through the overnight, carrying a wind & small hail threat.
The STRONGEST storms could have winds up to 75+ mph & hail up to golf balls. *Areas near & NE of Ord & the tri- cities*
Monday will be another hot, windy & sunny day with evening/night rain & storm chances north of I-80. This pattern will continue through Wednesday. A slow cool down after July 4th!
