The heat is getting turned down
The extreme heat and humidity is about to come to an end. In its place will be cooler temperatures and rain chances!
The Heat Advisory and Extreme Heat Warning will continue into Monday evening, expiring before midnight. Cooler air will then push its way in.
That cooler air will be coming our way as a cold front (see above), which may spark a few storms tonight. There is a chance for some strong storms, but mainly in Iowa.
A wave of cooler air will push in Tuesday morning, giving us another chance at some showers and storms.
After the fronts move through, we’ll warm up again, but not as hot as it has been.
It will be a LOT less humid, too!
Another chance for rain comes our way on Wednesday. The rain will be moving from northwest to southeast. Severe weather is not likely.
