Warmer temperatures for the start of the weekend
We’ve got a relatively nice day coming to southeast Nebraska for the start of the weekend. Temperatures will be able to climb in to the middle 50°s to around 60° Saturday afternoon. Winds will be gusting 20-25 mph at times.
This happens prior to a cold front passing through the state Saturday night in to Sunday morning. Just ahead of the front a couple waves of rain showers may develop. At this time it does not appear to be a lot of precipitation (all liquid), but a few hundredths of an inch is possible. I also do not think everyone will get rain.
SATURDAY: Mostly sunny early, turning partly cloudy by afternoon. A late afternoon/evening shower is possible. Highs will be in the middle 50°s to near 60°.
SATURDAY NIGHT: Partly cloudy. A shower mixed with a couple snowflakes possible around midnight. Lows in the middle 20°s.
SUNDAY: Mainly sunny and cooler (near normal). Highs will be in the lower to middle 40°s.
