Road signs burned off with cutting torch in Madison County vandalism investigation

MADISON COUNTY, Neb. (KLKN) — The Madison County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) announced an ongoing investigation regarding vandalism and theft.
The suspect ran over signs and used a cutting torch to remove the signs from the poles. They also used the cutting torch to remove bridge markers and intersection, yield and stop signs.
The vandalism was reported Monday, Aug. 10. According to MCSO, the crimes occurred throughout a large area.
