Storm threat west, moves east by Friday
Strong to severe storms are possible across the western half of the state Thursday. That threat pulls east a little on Friday.
There is a level 1 “Marginal Risk” for severe storms Thursday. Most of this area won’t see storms, but it’s an area that has the better chance during the afternoon and evening.
Recent weather models are showing a wave moving through Thursday afternoon and evening from north to south. Damaging wind and hail are the main concerns.
Everybody will see highs in the low to mid 80s Thursday afternoon.
The chance for strong storms moves into central and northern Nebraska for Friday. Timing will depend on what the storms do on Thursday.
