A Hot & Humid Week Ahead
After some morning light rain chances, a warm & humid day is in store across Nebraska under partly sunny skies! High temperatures will range from 88° – 95° with dew points in the 50s & 60s! The evening hours will bring the HUMID feel to eastern Nebraska.
Heat index values could exceed 102° during the peak afternoon across SE Nebraska. This is just the start of a hot & humid week!
10pm-midnight:Rain/storms develop across SW Nebraska, with a few storms along I-80. The best rain/storm chances will stay north of I-80 through Tuesday morning. Some storms could have 50-60 mph winds & small hail.
Tuesday morning, showers & T-storms will occur from SW->NE. A few storms will form along & north of I-80, with the better severe threat farther north.
Tuesday night, another chance for storms from SW->NE. A few strong to severe storms capable of damaging winds up to 60+ mph & small hail will be possible across northeast Nebraska.
Rainfall potential through Wednesday morning look to favor SW & north central Nebraska. Potential rainfall totals will range from 0.75″-2.75″+, with the heavier totals in SW Nebraska.
A HOT & HUMID start to September! Tuesday & Wednesday turn hot, humid & breezy. The best rain chances will stay along a SW->NE pattern through this week. By the 2nd week of September, some changes could be near including cooler & drier air! Some severe weather could also exist as our next cold front approaches next week.
