Lincoln police chase nearly causes officer to be struck, ends in arrest
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Lincoln Police Department (LPD) received a report of an erratic driver yesterday evening.
LPD officers found the vehicle at 27th and Superior streets and attempted a traffic stop. The driver refused to pull over and continued until reaching Casey’s on 27th Street where he stopped.
While at the gas station, the driver nearly struck an officer and then continued fleeing.
LPD officers engaged in a pursuit until they were able to get the driver to pull over safely near mile marker 407 on Interstate 80.
The driver was by himself in the vehicle and was taken into custody.
