Health Department urges safety and preparation during heat advisory

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A heat advisory has been issued for Lincoln and Lancaster County for tomorrow, Sept. 8 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Temperature highs are expected to reach mid to upper 90s.

The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) urges residents to stay hydrated, never leave children or pet in cars and limit outdoor activity.
