Near normal temperatures are back, so are storm chances
After a very hot start to September, near normal temperatures are back and they look to stick around. Storm chances are out there, as well.
Early morning temperatures will be in the 50s for much of the state. SE Nebraska will be in the low 60s, which is a little above average.
Afternoon high temperatures on Thursday will be very close to normal!
The next chance for strong to severe storms comes our way Friday afternoon, evening, and overnight into early Saturday morning. There is a level 1 and 2 “Marginal” to “Slight” Risk for severe storms.
A cold front is going to move across the area popping up storms as it goes. The best chance for severe weather is in the evening into the overnight, but it’s early, so we’ll fine tune the details as we get closer.
