Parents and clinicians share concerns regarding the cost of interRAI

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Parents and clinicians shared their concerns yesterday about interRAI at the State Advisory Committee meeting.

They voice that expensive tests have created barriers to assistance for family members with disabilities.

“We all have a bunch of balances of our own,” a clinician who was present said. “I don’t have that extra money floating around. That disposable income just isn’t flying. So there’s an extra cost that is put on parents and guardians.”

The clinician stated that interRAI is not working.

“To me as a clinician, this is another red flag that something is not working,” she said.
