LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – After losing just its second set in Big Ten play this season, No. 1 Nebraska responded by winning the three next three games in a four-set victory 26-28, 25-20, 25-20, 25-14 to take down Michigan Friday night at the Crisler Center.

Five Huskers (22-0, 11-0 Big Ten) finished with double-digit kills. Ann Arbor native Harper Murray led the Big Red with 16, marking her 22nd career match with at least 15 terminations. Virginia Adriano posted a career-high 14 kills, while Andi Jackson’s 13 helped her surpass 1,000 on her career. Then Teraya Sigler logged 12 kills, as part of a double-double to go along with 12 digs, and Manaia Ogbechie finished with 11.

This is the 12th time in the rally-scoring era the Huskers have had five players finish with 10 or more kills and the first time its happened since 2021.

Michigan (13-9, 4-7 Big Ten) hit .465 in the first set and .289 on the match, something in which opposing teams have struggled to do against the nation’s top team in terms of opponent hitting percentage (.100 entering Friday). Nebraska hit at .412 and also entered Friday tied for first in the nation in team hitting percentage.

Friday’s win is also the fourth time Nebraska has hit at least .400 in 2026.
