The Good Life Halfsy to break record as the biggest half marathon in Nebraska

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The 13th annual Good Life Halfsy has already broken a record for Nebraska.

This year, 9,500 runners have registered for the race, making it the biggest half marathon in Nebraska’s history.

The Good Life Halfsy is set for Sunday, Nov. 8 in Lincoln.

“It’s important to us that everyone have a great race day so we slowed growing the race this year and sold out faster than last year to make sure everything from parking through race recovery goes smoothly,” Jason Bakewell, race co-director said.

This year marks their 13th consecutive year selling out the race, making it also the biggest Good Life Halfsy in its history.

The race will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

“Welcoming thousands of runners to Lincoln for the biggest day of running in Nebraska makes the Halfsy a true celebration of our state,” Ben Cohoon, race co-director, said. “We love showcasing the supportive running community in Lincoln to participants from all over the country.”
