Possible contamination in water found after water line break in Beatrice

BEATRICE, Neb. (KLKN) — The Beatrice West Water Project customers, managed by the Lower Big Blue Natural Resources District, are on a boiling water notice.

Customers of the Beatrice West Water Project are advised to boil water for drinking and cooking for one minute.

Otherwise, customers are asked to use an alternative source of water until testing confirms the safety of the water.

This comes after a water line break caused by loss of pressure in the system.

The Beatrice West Rural System is continuing to test the water.
