LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – We are now in Daylight Saving Time, that bi-yearly ritual where we “spring forward” and “fall back”. However, there is a push to never “fall back” again.
There is currently a bill in the Nebraska legislature that would provide for daylight saving time all year. The bill couldn’t take effect unless Congress approved of it, and two neighboring states would also need to adopt the year-round time legislation. Wyoming has already done so.
Parents you might be a little more tired today than usual. Daylight saving time can really mess with kids’ sleeping schedules with an extra hour of sleep lost.

If you’re one of the people who doesn’t like daylight saving time, you’re not alone.
“It seems everyone in the state hates the idea of having to change their clocks twice a year and I really do mean everyone,” said Senator Tom Briese.
“It throws you off just enough that you trip and break your wrist, then that’s a big deal for you. And that’s one of the things they found out, that wrist injuries go up right after the spring forward time change,” said Scott Yates, Nationwide Advocate.

As Briese said, Many people in his rural district agree with his motion, big reason for this is the impacts daylight saving has on farm animals. The sun going up and down at different times means farm animals’ schedules shifted.
What do you think? Are you in favor of keeping Daylight Saving Time year-round?
