JUST IN: Man arrested in burglary of Scott Frost’s home sentenced

A man who pleaded guilty to burglarizing the home of Husker football coach Scott Frost’s home has been sentenced.

Tuesday afternoon, a judge sentenced Andrew Williams, 21, to 2-4 years in prison for his involvement in the crime.

Williams and two teens were accused of breaking into Frost’s home in July of 2018.

Police said customized shoes, helmets, and artwork worth around $50,000 were stolen, though some of those items were recovered.

Initially, 14 championship rings belonging to Frost, including two from his days as a Husker, were believed to be stolen.

Frost later discovered the rings weren’t taken.

The cases of the two teenagers involved were directed to the Lancaster County Attorney’s Office.

In a statement released shortly after the burglary, Frost said the crime was “disappointing” and “discouraging.”

Williams was also sentenced on an unrelated drug charge.

He told the judge he was under the influence of drugs when he burglarized the home.
