NSP finds heroin, cocaine under fake car floorboards

The Nebraska State Patrol seized several pounds of cocaine, heroin, and marijuana after multiple traffic stops Sunday.

The first began around 7:45 a.m., a trooper saw a Ford Mustang going over 105 miles per hour on I-80 near Paxton and began pursuit

The vehicle sped off, driving recklessly and passing other cars on the shoulder, NSP said.

After a short pursuit, the Mustang went airborne at the top of an embankment and spun out in traffic lanes before hitting a metal guardrail.

Two men got out and fled on foot, but were caught shortly after.

NSP said the driver, Isaiah Bassett, 32, and passenger Anthony Robinson, 23, both of Peoria, Illinois, were arrested for several drug and traffic charges.

Troopers found several packages of high grade marijuana and THC products inside the vehicle.

The second stop began around 3:45 p.m., after a trooper saw a Nissan Sentra speeding on Interstate 76.

During a traffic stop, the trooper searched the vehicle and found 13 pounds of cocaine and three pounds of heroin hidden under fake floorboards in the front of the car.

The driver, Maurice Fuller, 30, of Chicago, and passenger, Rudolph Brown, 47, of Philadelphia, were arrested for multiple drug charges.
