UPDATE: Spectrum unsure of when service problem affecting Lincoln customers will be resolved

Dozens of Spectrum customers filed in and out of the company’s Lincoln facility Tuesday morning, upset that their service had stopped working.
Terry Larson told Channel 8 Eyewitness News he waited in line outside the building, near 16th and Old Cheney, for over an hour to get help after his TV service went out Monday night.
Around 50 people were in line at 9:00 a.m. when the doors opened.
Fred Muyer says he and his wife were hoping to watch Dancing With The Stars Monday night when their Spectrum box stopped working.
Despite restarting the box multiple times and spending over an hour and a half on the phone with technical support, Muyer said he had no other option but to wait in line to get help in person.
“This isn’t my first rodeo,” he said. “I left the house without my teeth in. That’s how mad I am.”
A spokesman for Spectrum Channel 8 Eyewitness News that the company still isn’t sure what is causing the problems or when it may be fixed.
The spokesman said he couldn’t comment how many customers were affected, per company policy.
In a statement to Channel 8 Eyewitness News, the spokesman said, “We are aware of an issue impacting some set-top boxes for users in the Lincoln area. Users report their boxes are rebooting and not connecting. Our engineers are actively engaged, working to address the problem. We apologize for the inconvenience.”
This is a developing story and we will continue to provide updates as they become available.
