Supporters turn out in mass for Trump rally

Thousands poured into the Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs Tuesday evening to hear President Donald Trump.
“Hearing all the positive things he’s done,” said Terri Vaunts of Lincoln. “I want to hear some positive things about the country and the economy.”
This rally came shortly after Brett Kavanaugh was confirmed to the U.S. Supreme Court and Trump’s supporters were enthusiastic.
“If he does it by the way the constitution’s written, it’s important to me,” said Randy Pappas of Corning, Iowa. “I think he can be even minded, fair.”
“He’ll be fair in his judgement,” Vaunts said. “He’ll interpret the constitution how it’s meant to be interpreted.”
Not everyone there was to support Trump. There were a few protestors.
“I think he is bad for the country,” said Victoria Howard of Red Oak, Iowa. “I don’t like his policies. “I think he is racist, a misogynist, I think his opinions are hateful.”
Among the things Trump talked about was expanding E 15 ethanol.
“Ethanol’s great for the state of Nebraska and the state of Iowa because of how much corn we produce,” said Richard Hagedorn. “I’m for it 100 percent.”
And he also spoke about trade agreements.
Supporters said despite having to spend around two hours in the rain, it was worth the wait.
“It just was electric inside of there,” Hagedorn said. “It was awesome.”
