UPDATE: Lincoln bike plan highlights community feedback

UPDATE:
Lincoln wants the community’s input before implementing a new bike plan. It’s currently in the feedback phase. Today was the second open house.
There was a draft proposed bicycle network and the public was able to point out different places throughout Lincoln that is in need of improvements.
One Lincoln resident said he rides his bike to and from work every day in the down town area.
"16th street, 17th street maybe 13th street.. The more protected bike lanes we can get in that area the more beneficial for myself," said Brent Schmoker.
The bike plan is centered around safety. Once this feedback phase is over, the draft plan is expected to be complete in the fall.
A final public input phase will then happen.
